Catechists

Catechists are volunteer adults from the parish who give of their time and their talents each week from September to May. Their commitment to teach children in the parish about the wonders of God is their stewardship…their desire to give back to God for his generosity to them. We register over 1100 children for our parish program, but realistically, we would be unable to do so if not for the catechists.

We would have no parish program at all without the catechists. It is with this in mind that I ask all parents whose children participate in our parish program to consider their role as catechist. There are resources available to help you understand the role of catechist and the commitment involved. Please call the PREP office (610-489-4677 X36) with questions and for information.

SACRAMENT PROGRAM

bread.jpg Sacraments are special signs of the Sacred where we connect with our God. The experiences of these sacred encounters draw us into relationship with God who strengthens us along our journey of faith. Parents who actively practice their faith and participate in their child’s learning make the reception of a sacrament a true celebration and holy experience for themselves and their child.

Parent meetings are a required component of sacrament preparation. In addition to personal self-enrichment, these meetings inform parents about what is expected as their child prepares to receive a sacrament. It is important that at least one parent attends these meetings.

All sacrament and meeting dates are given to parents at the beginning of the new school year in a Sacrament Information Brochure.
